Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming American drama web television series “Ratched,” which based on the 1962 novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey and scheduled to premiere on Netflix on September 18, 2020.

Created by Evan Romansky, Ratched is executive-produced by Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan, Paulson, Alexis Martin Woodall, Aleen Keshishian, Jacob Epstein, Jennifer Salt, Margaret Riley, Michael Douglas, Robert Mitas and Tim Minear.

Sarah Paulson Potray’s Iconic Character ‘Nurse Mildred’ In Netflix Prequel Series “Ratched.”

The series features Sarah Paulson as Nurse Mildred Ratched. In addition to Paulson, the prequel series also stars Charlie Carver, Judy Davis, Harriet Harris, Cynthia Nixon, Hunter Parrish, Amanda Plummer, Corey Stoll, and Sharon Stone in prominent roles. At the same time, Rosanna Arquette, Vincent D’Onofrio, Don Cheadle, Alice Englert, Annie Starke, and Stan Van Winkle had been cast in recurring roles.

Ratched is described as “an origins story, beginning in 1947, which will follow Ratched’s journey and evolution from nurse to full-fledged monster. The series will track her murderous progression through the mental health care system.
