Red Satellite And Digital Rights Sold Out For A Whopping Price
The energetic actor Ram Pothineni‘s much-awaited film ‘Red,’ which is an official remake of Superhit Tamil film Thadam is scheduled to hit the big screens on the occasion of Sankranti 2021. The film was initially scheduled to release theatrically on 9 April 2020. However, the release was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speculations were rife that the satellite and digital rights of Ram Pothineni’s upcoming action thriller, Red have been sold to Gemini TV. However, the sources have confirmed that the Telugu satellite and digital streaming writes were acquired by Gemini TV for a record price of Rs. 13.5 crores. considering the coronavirus pandemic situation, this is a huge deal.
The film directed by Shivam fame Kishore Tirumala also stars Nivetha Pethuraj, Malvika Sharma, and Amritha Aiyer in lead and is one of the most awaited releases of 2018.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore bankrolled the project under the banner Sri Sravanthi Movies. The music has been composed by Mani Sharma. Sameer Reddy handled the cinematography, while Peter Hein choreographed the action sequences.
The story revolves around two lookalike men living in the same city. One of them attacks a man and leaves him dead, following which an investigation begins. A strong evidence leads the cops to capturing one of the lookalikes. However, just as they believe the case is closed, the cops also capture the second lookalike, and now have to find out which one among the two committed the murder.
